ERASMUS - Incoming students
In the context of an Erasmus exchange programme, the Haute Ecole Blaise Pascal invites you to carry out part of your training on one
of its many campuses in the French-speaking part of Belgium, according to your specialization:

The Department of Economics (3 years, Arlon, province of Luxembourg)

The Department of Techniques :

Bachelor in Electromecanics (3 years, Seraing, province of Liège; and Arlon, province of Luxembourg)

Master in Sciences of Industrial Engineer
(5 years, Virton, province of Luxembourg)

The Department of Education (3 years, Bastogne, province of Luxembourg)
As an Erasmus student, you have to take administrative measures both in your home country and in Belgium when you settle there for your stay.

LEARNING AGREEMENT
DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS
If you choose to come and study in the Department of Economics in Arlon, here is what you are expected to know about your Learning Agreement:
- Your Learning Agreement amounts to minimum 30 ECTS (for 4 months), and can increase in credits according to the duration of your stay with us.
- Your programme is made of courses selected in our two sections (Accountancy and PA). The programme is set up by the Erasmus coordinator at the beginning of term,
on the basis of schedule, modularisation and personal requirements.
- All courses are given in French. However the programme also provides for language lessons (German, Dutch, English and Spanish).
- You will be assessed at the end of your stay (exams in January and June) in a varied way: oral or written exam / written papers assessed / interviews on written papers.
Teachers tell you at the beginning of your stay how you will be assessed.
- Professional practice placements can also be proposed.
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
If you choose to come and study in the Department of Education in Bastogne, here is what you should know about the programme of your studies:
- Your study programme is minimum 20 ECTS (for 3 months), and can grow according to the number of months you decide to stay with us.
- The programme is made of course attendance in one or more of the three sections of our Department (pre-school / primary / secondary)
- You can also get credits for a practice placement teaching in a local school. We arrange for the school and the practice teacher. A special task-sheet is established.
- The objectives of the placement are more linguistic than methodological. Supervision is mostly done by the practice teacher, not by the Blaise Pascal supervisors.
- Part of your courses can be followed in English (~10 credits), Dutch (~10 credits) or German.(~5 credits)
- You can apply for special language courses of French given by our students specializing in FLE (French as a Foreign Language). Usually 2 credits.
- You are assessed at the end of the stay, in various ways, personally or together with the students of your class: oral or written exam / written report assessed / oral
interview on written report. The teachers tell you very early in your stay how they will assess you.
- We try to arrange a maximum of credits with the same group of students so that you have a “sense of belonging”.
- Course arrangements are possible with two limits: in which term you stay with us, most courses happening either in the autumn semester or the spring semester / how courses
fit in the week schedule, mainly if you choose to attend courses in different classes or sections.
- There are numerous other opportunities of visiting us for shorter stays, out of the Erasmus programme. Please contact the Erasmus coordinator of the Department.
DEPARTMENT OF TECHNIQUES
If you decide to come and study in the Department of Techniques in Arlon, Virton or Seraing, here is what you are expected to know about your Learning Agreement:
- Your Learning Agreement amounts to minimum 30 ECTS (for 4 months), and can increase in credits according to the duration of your stay with us.
- Your programme is made of courses selected in the curriculum of the local institution (Bachelors in Electromechanics in Arlon or Seraing, Masters in Engineering in Virton).
The programme is set up by the Erasmus coordinator at the beginning of term, on the basis of schedule, modularisation and personal requirements.
- All courses are given in French.
- You will be assessed at the end of your stay (exams in January and June) in a varied way: oral or written exam / written papers assessed / interviews on written papers.
Teachers tell you at the beginning of your stay how you will be assessed.
- The practice placement and the Final Work can be carried out inside the institution or in a company outside the school.
