François - Bachelor in Electromechanics – Aberdeen - May 2008

A few memories after 5 unforgettable months in Scotland. I came to Scotland to work on the project Formula Student ( design and conception of a racing car) with a group of Scottish students. On top of the project, which was really thrilling, the fact of going on an Erasmus exchange was an exceptional experience. For the meetings, the language, the country, going out… It is also a good experience to get to know oneself; not too easy to find your way around at the beginning, but after some time I would even forget to get back home!! I also want to add that if you are motivated, the language should not be an obstacle. You learn it quickly, and after 3 months, it is no longer a problem to write the Final Work in English! Looking forward to sharing the experience with you…

Julie - Bachelor Personal Assistant – Manchester – May 2009

Back to Belgium in three days. The end of an unbelievable adventure. I can only advise you to go too. That stay answered all my expectations: improving my English, discovering a country, a town, the cultural exchanges with countries totally unknown to me before thanks to the people I lived with, acquaintances, … I come back richer and more positive from all those encounters. I rejoice a bit by thinking that I am going back to a “warm place”, since for some days now, or weeks even, the thermometer has not climbed higher than 10 °C,; with rain and wind of course. So British!
If some of you want more information about Manchester or other things, do not hesitate to ask my address.
Cheers
Julie

Kevin - Bachelor in Accountancy – Amsterdam – May 2008

Hello everybody,
I write to you today with deep sadness. Another three weeks and it is already all over. I know that I will miss many things here; not only the colleagues that welcomed me so warmly, but also the town of Amsterdam where it is so easy to feel well. I could easily stay three more months!!. ( I think three months is much too short for a first experience, mainly abroad). That kind of experience is really worth living. I think the destination is quite irrelevant, it is all about diving in the unknown, discovering new things, other cultures, because each of them brings us something new.
According to me, a new environment is also a way to get to know oneself better. Such an experience has helped me clarify the priorities of my life!!!!
It is a matter of fact that a stay abroad is a major asset for finding a job, but it is not the only point. We should think further. I could give you hundreds of arguments apart from the asset of the language. Interested… contact me…
But I can smile again since today is “Queensday”. It is the biggest gathering of the year here in Amsterdam. Numerous open air concerts, people are dancing in the streets, they are waiting for me!!!
I have to leave you… See you
Kevin

Michel - Bachelor Primary School Teacher – Kreuzlingen - May 2009

Thinking of my stay abroad, I can only state positive things. To adapt to a new education system and also to a new language, that is a hard job, but also a very rich and unforgettable experience. (…) My practice tutor gave me the opportunity to realise an extraordinary project which was necessary for my Final Work.

Loredana - Bachelor Personal Assistant – Cologne – May 2008

It is over in two weeks, and I think time is going to fly. That stay has really been a pleasure, I do not regret having done it! To think that I failed my German exam in January! I have really improved. I have mainly found a new self-confidence and I feel ready to enter the working world. I cannot wait to be there. I already feel in the mood, with all the proposals that arrive via Claroline. Thank you, because I already have three employment interviews when I get back to Belgium. That motivates me!!
On the other hand, I will miss a lot of people here, and I have even been invited by the headmaster to the little party they throw for the final year students in July. I hope I can come back… I am already nostalgic… haha
Vielen Dank für dieses Praktikum
Ciao ciao
Loredana
